you know, I might (probably) update this again. But if you've stumbled upon this message into the ether, I've got one last thing to say.

I've restarted www.andrewbrant.com, with Xanga as the inspiration.  I bet what we had here 7 years ago still exists on the internet, and I'm going to find it. 

While I'm doing this, I'm launching www.ad-astrapress.com, for my art career.  That's where I'm going to sell my graphic novel, t-shirts, music, and everything else.

Kanye has to have the best album of the decade, I don't care whether you want to say the last or the next.

Plus, this is SNL. 

Bill Hader, Will Arnett, Jason Sudekis, Adam Sandberg, and this?  SNL is the everlasting phoenix it seems.  Good for them.

And Kanye talks about a Beautiful Death.  It's been a long, long six months - since I left Chicago, went to New York, and came back, to now.  I've thought about that beautiful death - and that's what makes you an artist Kanye.  Through the least likely source, he made art like a mirror.  The world is ours! I believe that as much too. 

Plus a merging of all DJ and Hip Hop trends - from the golden age of Hip Hop to IDM - Aphex Twin.  Daft Punk, the crown prince of DJs.  He got it all, as an artist.  It might be awhile until we hear this again, but it will happen. For now, It's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is pretty damn intriguing.  Bon Iver even? A man alone in a cabin in the snow making an album alone after a breakup?  Wow.

I'm glad I can listen to this now and smile.  New York I love you.  But I have my life back in Chicago now - It's going to be a great year.

improvisation means everyone says yes to everything, always.  i've come to understand the symphony's written this way, but also, how much crap it produces. The only way to appreciate it is to get sucked in.

I'm getting out of the last stage of grief, depression.  I finally feel powerful again.
